Plastic Bags
Did you know that plastic bags have only been in widespread use for the last thirty years? Today worldwide annual consumption of plastic bags totals over 700 billion – that means over one million bags are used every minute of every day. The U.S. consumes 440 billion plastic bags, sacks and wraps annually. The average American uses 139 plastic bags a year for storing food and other items.

Toners, Cartridges
Deciding which printer to buy includes many factors. Firstly, we need to determine printing volume, which means estimating about how many pages a day you will be printing. Next we need to determine the uses. Are we interested in printing photos? If yes, it would be wise to look into the six, seven, and eight now color printers as they produce improved quality photos. Also to consider are the prices of ink, cartridges, and toners for the printer we are purchasing. Lastly, “Jack of all trades and master of none” is the way I would describe the multifunction printer/scanner/copier and fax machine, so beware.

Cell Phones
Can you imagine life without your cell phone now? It makes you wonder, doesn’t it, how we managed to cope in the past without a mobile phone. Sure, we could always use a public phone box on the street but that box lacked the convenience of being able to make the call for virtually wherever you may be at that given time. Think untimely car breakdowns, or walking through less-than-safe neighborhoods. With the touch of a button, it could get you out of awkward situations or you can be connected to a warm and familiar voice of a relative or friend. On the more fun side, I have become quite addicted to text messaging and all kinds of incredible games that are available on my handset.

Travel & Leisure
Have you ever taken a trip where it seemed that everything went wrong? What should have been a carefree relaxing vacation or an efficient business trip turns into a stress filled nightmare? No one likes to focus on the negative, but the old saying “Hope for the best and plan for the worst’’ has a lot of truth to it. So, planning ahead will help you avoid unwanted drama, stress, and hassles. Here are some tips for doing just that.

Health & Exercise
Many studies have shown that 60% of adult deaths come from diseases like cancer and strokes, although these maladies could have been prevented. Avoiding any kind of cigarettes, saying no to alcohol or drugs and exercising regularly are key factors in maintaining health. Also recommended are regular doctor visits for checking blood pressure levels as well as general check ups. What you eat is also very important for your health. An obese person is at risk for many diseases. Obesity means stress for the body, health and mind. Obese people feel depressed and it is more likely for them to eat to cure this depression than to run or swim. So, the key in avoiding obesity is to have an organized life program, exercise every day, eat healthy, and avoid alcohol or drugs.

No one likes to focus on the negative, but the old saying "Hope for the best and plan for the worst" has a lot of truth to it. So, planning ahead will help you avoid unwanted drama, stress, and hassles. Here are some tips for doing just that. 1- Start planning your trip early. (6-8 wks. in advance is not early) 2- Research your trip thoroughly to get the best deals and accommodations to suit your preferences. 3- Plan for the unexpected. Protect yourself - invest in some travel insurance. 4- Make sure you will have all the arrangements and paperwork you'll need – airline tickets, passports, visas, maps, rental car and hotel reservations, permits and health and travel insurance documentation. In short, the quality of your trip depends largely on proper planning for the unexpected.
